ANNOUNCING DEADSET’S 2025 SEASON
We’re back for another massive year of theatre that hits hard and cuts deep. In 2025, we’re bringing you two powerful productions that explore identity, trauma, and coming of age in the face of chaos.
Ravaged
By Kylie Rackham
Directed by Zoe Muller and Alyssa D’Onofrio
June 2025 at the Marion Cultural Centre
Three lives. One fire.
Based on the real events of Black Saturday, Ravaged threads together the stories of Penny, Sally, and Nick—three people whose lives are turned upside down by a force of nature beyond their control. In Marysville, Penny sets up for her son’s birthday party. In Callignee, Sally faces the fire alone while her husband is away. And in Kinglake, young firefighter Nick is thrown into the deep end as theory becomes terrifying reality.
This show is an unflinching look at grief, resilience, and what we cling to when everything else burns away.

Punk Rock
By Simon Stephens
Directed by Megan Danise
October 2025 at The Mill, Adelaide
“Everything good human beings ever make is built on something monstrous.”
Raw, unnerving, and painfully relevant, Punk Rock dives into the psyches of a group of high-achieving sixth-formers as they prepare for their A-levels. Underneath the Oxbridge ambition and witty banter simmers something much darker.
Described by Stephens as The History Boys on crack, this explosive play exposes the cracks in privilege, the pressure of perfection, and the emotional fragility that lies just beneath the surface of success.
